Dr. Luanne Jenson, DVM with LeonardDr. Luanne Jensen, our Chief of Staff, was born and raised in New Albany, Indiana. She earned both an undergraduate degree and a DVM degree from the Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Jensen worked in mixed animal practice for two years in Marion, Indiana, before returning to her hometown in 1986 to join the multi-vet mixed animal practice, Hillside Animal Clinic. In 1993, she left to work for one of her veterinary classmates at the Bloomington Cat Hospital for one year. Dr. Jensen has special veterinary interests in both feline and canine medicine and behavior.

In 1994, Dr. Jensen opened Especially Pets in New Albany, seeing small animals exclusively. She has served on the New Albany Floyd County Animal Control Authority since its inception in 2000 and currently serves as its President. Dr. Jensen's favorite pastime is cooking and entertaining friends and family. At home, she has four cats - Sheldon, Leonard, Frasier and Niles.

Dr. Ashley Ernstberger, DVM with Marty McflyDr. Ashley Ernstberger grew up right here in New Albany, Indiana. She attended Indiana University Southeast for undergraduate studies, and then went on to Purdue University, where she earned a DVM degree. Dr. Ernstberger spent two and a half years years practicing at a small animal clinic just outside Indianapolis. Her special veterinary interests include feline medicine and ophthalmology.

In her spare time, Dr. Ernstberger enjoys reading, spending time with her husband Jon, seeing movies and crocheting. She has two cats at home – Marty McFly and Tony Stark.

Dr. Kristi Kantz grew up in Troy, Michigan and currently resides in Georgetown, Indiana. She received an undergraduate degree from Wayne State University and earned her DVM degree from Michigan State University. Prior to joining the Especially Pets team, Dr. Kantz practiced in Michigan and Indiana. Her special interests include ophthalmology, dermatology, ultrasound, and dentistry.

Outside of work, Dr. Kantz enjoys horseback riding, walking her dogs, and reading. She is married with three children, while also caring for a variety of cats, dogs, horses, donkeys, and alpacas at home.
